What stands out

Three findings worth carrying forward.

Appeal and health do not move in lockstep.

Across the selected sample, the average Reviews Score is 82.7, while the average Health Score is 45.8. Keeping those measures separate preserves a tradeoff that one blended score can hide.

Category context changes the meaning of a score.

The benchmark table shows why products should be compared with their shelf. A strong health signal in candy is not the same benchmark as a strong health signal in frozen vegetables.

Evidence depth is the publication gate.

A record can remain searchable without becoming an indexable scorecard. Public research and sitemap inclusion require completed scores, usable imagery, reliable label evidence, and substantial original analysis.

Methodology

What this report can and cannot say.

  1. The underlying offline snapshot contained 179,913 product records.
  2. 88,105 records passed completed-score, image, evidence, and analysis checks; 1,600 high-value records form the public research sample.
  3. Figures describe the selected Reviews sample, not every grocery product sold in the United States. Percentages are rounded and should not be interpreted as population-wide nutrition estimates.
